• I have served as the pastor of several churches over a span of 15 years.
• Prior to coming to Taylor, I led and taught in a Biblical Studies BA program for incarcerated men within the Wisconsin Department of Correction. (Yes, I worked in a prison for several years.)
• I received the Eisenberg Award from Wisconsin Public Defenders' Office for my work within the prison.

I fell in love with the academic side of Christian faith in college. Since then, God has provided a passion and opportunities to help his people hear his voice in Scripture by reading the Bible well.

I have been married since the weekend after I graduated from college. We love to travel and explore new cities and national and state parks. We have three adult sons who continue to help me teach better by asking hard questions about God and the Bible.

My favorite part of teaching is the conversations it opens about God's work and understanding the Bible.
